Most people know about genetics or at least have heard of them. In this essay I would like to emphasize the importance of genes in a person’s life. You are born with genetics that cannot be changed or modified in any way or form and you have to accept the hand you were dealt. As far as ailments, you have to analyze whether they are self-induced or genetic. Because if it’s genetic, there’s nothing you can do and you can live your entire life with certain ailments that are not fatal, but will last a lifetime. One example of genetically acquired disease is Afib. You just have to live with it and get used to it.
Some experts in the field believe that the only way to modify is through mutation and this they do on some animals and certain people with very serious physical difficulties. People with autism cannot be changed or modified – they’re just “wired” that way.
The point I’m trying to make is, good or bad, you’re stuck with your genes for your entire life. The only example I have is from the Book. Judas Iscariot was genetically inclined to be a miser and greedy and being exposed to three years of Jesus’s preaching didn’t change anything. His actions were still controlled by his genes. Only an act of God or a miracle could change him, and as we know, that didn’t happen. Amen.
