I have no idea why the Catholic Church makes believe to all the Catholics that Mary is, or was, “ever” virgin. This is a blatant fallacy of the Church mainly directed towards women. After Mary had Jesus she got married to Joseph and according to the canon the Church, if the marriage is not consummated, the sacrament of matrimony is null and void (the Church defines sexual relations with the wife as a consummation of the marriage). The Church makes women believe that Mary could not consummate the marriage with Joseph because the title of “ever” virgin would disappear immediately. So, in order to make believe that she was “ever” virgin, her matrimony was a sham. Besides, in the Bible it is mentioned more than one time that Jesus had brothers and sisters. According to the Church, “brothers and sisters” could be cousins or any other kind of relatives, and not necessarily real brothers and sisters with the same parents. Why people believe this fallacy is beyond my understanding. Please do not hesitate to review or refute this statement of fact.

POLITICIANS
It is quite difficult to say anything positive about any politician because the majority of them are subject to the influence of big corporations that want to elect certain persons that will benefit them if they are elected. In order to make sure they win the election, the amount of money invested is in the million of dollars. That I know. Nobody gives you anything unless they want something in return (with the exception of charities).
Even if there is an honest candidate, they will have to compromise their integrity because they cannot ignore their contributors.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
It is beyond my understanding that the people in Central America or any other country could blackmail the United States and its people to accept young innocent illiterate children that are given away by their parents because of the parent’s inability or unwillingness to take responsibility for their own offspring.
If parents in those countries think it’s so bad where they live, then they should stop having children that they’re unwilling or unable to raise. But instead they believe that the people in the United States are suckers and that we must accept them under the guise of charity. Bleeding-heart liberals think that we have enough millions or billions of dollars to take care of someone else’s problems.
Every illegal immigrant child should be returned immediately wearing a shirt with a big slogan on their chest stating “I want my parents to raise me” or “I don’t want to live in a foreign country with no love or understanding of my needs”. The United States government should wake up and understand that we are being taken advantage of under the pretense of charity and Christian goodness.
I don’t know what else to say, but I’m very upset about the whole situation.
And for you religious people, there is no place in the Bible that says that we should take care of children whose parents are irresponsible and have no real love for their own children.
In regard to the women who are pregnant and come into this country illegally with the purpose of staying here and forcing Social Security (our contribution) to take of her and her American born child, well, I believe that the perfect solution to this abuse is to deny the child American citizenship. Instead, the child should be required to keep her mother’s place of origin.
I would love to hear any comments from any of the readers of this blog.
EDUCATION
One of the most important endeavors a person can undertake is to get a good education. The benefits are plentiful, not just for the individual, but also for society.
Not too many people are able to obtain the necessary knowledge to succeed. The cost of a degree in any subject is quite high. Some fortunate people with wealthy parents or scholarships have a great advantage over the ones that must make a student loan or get a good paying job while also attending a university or college.
In regard to the success of a degree-d person, it depends mainly on a few factors; namely, a person must have an above-average intelligence and a lot of motivation and dedication. But even those in possession of those indispensable requisites (above-mentioned) must also have a good capacity to retain much of the learned subject.
For example, doctors, after they graduate from any medical school, have to have 3 or 4 years of internship in a hospital before they are allowed to practice medicine.
And an MBA graduate also has to go through a period of training on the job in order to succeed in their employment.
To summarize, I believe that the best of professionals must have a great retention memory.
LAWYERS
Most people, when they get into a serious situation, will get in contact with a lawyer. Unfortunately, the majority of lawyers work for themselves. What I mean is, their primary concern is to get the most money for their services. They might be interested in a positive outcome, but if they lose, it is not a big thing for them. Either way they get paid. I believe that the lawyers for accidents (torts) are more interested in the profits for their time and expertise than they are in getting justice (and money) for their clients.
The divorce lawyers are handsomely paid by the spouses that hate each other. They really will make believe that they care in order to squeeze all the money they can from the couples. Do you want to make a lawyer very wealthy? Divorce your rich husband or wife.
RELIGION
Religion is basically a system of beliefs, faith, confidence in, or worship of a superior being; God.
Since the beginning of time, people all over the world have believed in a superior being or force. Before Christianity people worshiped the sun, the moon, rivers, snakes, lighting, etc, etc. It was hard for them to believe that death was the final event. The Egyptians believed that the dead went on a long trip and put food and other things in a canoe for the survival of the deceased. Other people believed that when they died they were reincarnated into other people or animals.
With the advent of Christianity and the Bible we learned about the creation of the world by God and the Christian doctrine. Which means to believe that the Old Testament (at least the first five books) was written by Moses and later on, the New Testament was written by four of the Apostles, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Also Paul, but he was not an Apostle but according to himself was to preach the Gospel to the gentiles (any person who is not a Jew).
Unfortunately, the Bible was written in two or three languages, mainly Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, etc. and it had to be translated to English. It was also written many years after Jesus died. Due to the need to be interpreted, the original was interpreted in so many ways that we now have many denominations. The differences in interpretation were so radical that different denominations would kill each other over their beliefs. For example, the Jehovah’s Witnesses hate the Catholics, and vice verse. The Protestants and Catholics killed each other in Ireland. The Catholic Church has brainwashed their followers to make them believe in more man-made tenets than any other religion. Which one has the true meaning? No one knows. And for this reason, a lot of people are confused or bewildered by religion. There are also a large number of non-believers.
Just to prove a specific and inaccurate translation (or interpretation) in the prayer “Our Father” taught by Jesus himself, he said: “and lead” us not into temptation”. This is completely in error. To say that God himself is leading us into temptation is an outrageous statement! The Christian leaders cannot clarify this!
Even now in modern times some people have created new religions such as the Scientologists who believe that we were made by Thetans? Unbelievable!
There are also many more pseudo-Christian churches and sects that have nothing to do with Christianity .
To summarize, it is my firm belief that to worship and love God, as well to love one another, is the key to being a true Christian. If everyone would do that, there would be no need of wars, killing, jails, laws for people to break, or need to have sins forgiven.
(See SIN in a previous blog entry.)
I have a conflict with the prayer “Our Father”.
The part that says “And lead us not into temptation” is quite disturbing to me. Throughout the Bible I read that Satan is the one that tempts but God only tests us. There are many references in the Bible about this. By saying “Do not lead us into temptation” aren’t we accusing God of tempting us or equating Him with the Devil?
Please feel free to comment on this. If anyone can help me to unravel this issue, I’d be very appreciative.
DEATH
The great majority of people do not like to talk about death. Usually “other” people die. All of us would like to live forever, except persons that are tired of living (old ones), the terminally ill, or ones with severe depression (they even commit suicide). Psychologists believe that ones that do are in agonizing pain, physically or mentally. There is no solution, except death.
One of the great mysteries is that no one really knows what happens to us when we die. Three thousand years ago the Egyptians believed that the dead were on a trip and they were provided with food for the voyage.
At the present time, Christians believe that if they were “good” they will go to heaven to be in total bliss for eternity. The people that were not good while alive will go to hell for eternal punishment! Either concept does not make sense. Why? Because our limited intelligence is not capable of understanding “eternity” a trillion trillion years – which in reality is just a mere nanosecond.
Other religions believe that we reincarnate forever and ever until we attain perfection. In relation to what? They do not know.
In the last book of the Bible, John the writer had the vision of the new earth and heaven on earth in which the saved ones will live for “ever” in perfect harmony! It is hard to believe that people could live in peace with one another. Now even husband and wife cannot live in peace, the two people which are the simplest form of society!
In conclusion, the only ones that suffer pain, anguish, desperation are the ones that are left behind. More so the ones who take their own life. The only consolation we have is that we all have to die sometime.
Lately as of today April 24 2021, I have come up with a “theory” that when we die we are transformed into a spirit which is an essence of what we were when we were alive! But of course is only MY theory. Any comments would be very much appreciated.
LOVE and HATE
Love and hate are abstract concepts. To define what love is accurately is almost impossible. Why? Because for each person it has a different meaning. Most people will say that love is a feeling. Where? In your heart ? In your mind? The heart cannot act by itself without getting your mind involved. For many people, giving gifts and material things such as money, very expensive jewelry, flowers, or loving cards is a demonstration of love. For others, it’s sweet talk, affection, compliments, encouragements, compassion, and sympathy, etc.etc. Saying to the loved one that he or she makes one happy is also a good sign of love. For some women, the expression of love is to give their body to the man they love without realizing that men will take advantage and will not return the love that women expect.
In the Bible, Jesus mentions that there is no greater sign of love for another person than to give your own life for the other. He himself gave his life for us! In our world, very few people are willing to give their own life to protect others, and the ones who have done have done it during times of war, mostly because they had to.
Still, my own definition of love is to do things for the one you love. To help in any way or form to make the loved one’s life less stressful or more pleasant is quite important to me, more so than any other form of love. Of course I believe that words of affection are also important, but not as important as doing things.
On the negative side, when the person we love does not reciprocate and rejects us, our love flies out the window. And for some people, feelings quickly turn from love to hate.
Talking about hate, it’s easier to express hate for others. Fortunately, hate stays within ourselves, unless we insult the person, reject the person, or perform some other harmful act which brings consequences. People who out of hate kill a person will end up in jail. A form of hate is also verbal abuse, demeaning, condescending, but it has to be purposely so, such as calling names, harsh criticism, etc. But fortunately, I can only speak for myself – I have never hated anyone. Maybe I don’t like some people, but in doing so I am only harming myself.
Some people express hate to others by wishing them all kinds of misfortunes, sickness, even they wish they were dead! Those wishes stay with themselves and accomplish absolutely nothing!
To summarize, I believe that true love is doing the best thing for yourself and others, regardless of who they are or what they are. That’s it.
POVERTY AND POOR PEOPLE
It’s very hard to talk about these issues due to the fact that poverty and poor people have always existed since the beginning of times. I believe it is almost like a mystery. The reasons to be poor are the following:
- mental issues
- genetic makeup which includes laziness, lack of ambition, lack of education, and lack of self esteem
- tragedy, hardships, the loss of a mate or a partner or physical sickness
I do not believe there is a cure for poverty. At this point I believe there are no solutions. Of course there are solutions, you say. You can put people to work. But on the other hand, there are people that want to claim disability, either real or those who falsely claim it and think they can get out of working by doing so. These leeches on society also include those who go to charitable organizations, including churches, expecting a free handout. If you believe I am wrong, please feel free to send me your comments.
ABORTION
I do not advocate either stance on abortion. I believe that the decision to end a pregnancy is strictly a woman’s prerogative. No one has the right to tell her what to do. The religious people think they are doing them a favor and making points with God, but they are wrong. They have no understanding that a woman who somehow is forced to have a baby could be unfit or unable to take care of the child. Helping them temporarily for a few week or months is not enough. Could they take care of the mother and baby for many years? Are they aware of the time and money needed to invest on a person for shelter, food, clothing, education? It will be a great cost that only a few people could afford!
As for the religious view, no one can help the soul or spirit of an aborted fetus. Do they go to heaven, or are they orphans? If so, if they become an adult spirit or soul wouldn’t they hate that they were rejected by the mother? Think about this!
