People can only commit a sin against other people (including oneself). People cannot sin against any material thing (including nature). Some people believe that you can commit a sin against an animal; being cruel to an animal is only a product of a sick mind!

Some people believe that we sin against God. When we commit a sin of disobeying God’s precepts, he does not suffer or grieve. In Genesis the book says that when God was fed up with the people, he did not grieve or suffer, he sent the flood.

Here’s the acronym for worry – “Without One Real Reason I Embrace Stress”.  And, unfortunately, embracing stress doesn’t accomplish an iota of anything.

I have lived a long life. After going through many years of existence the times of enjoyment, happiness, bliss, contentment and elation are very fleeting moments.  For example, when you buy a new car, a new house, or a new wife (!) the happiness of these events fades quickly.

In contrast, the times of pain, suffering, anguish, tragedy, accidents, sickness, turmoil, etc. etc. are long-lasting.  Many times more lasting than the above moments of elation.

I believe this is the human condition that no one can escape.  And it’s a great mystery of life.

I believe that criticism and judgment are synonyms.  For this reason, any criticism that we express regarding any person or item is actually a judgment and has a negative connotation.  Most people do not realize that when you say something about other people, they will take offense, even if it was not meant to be critical. 

It is easy to criticize someone, because you can go on and on about others’ faults. We have the tendency to criticize at length, from the top of one’s head to one’s feet. In contrast, when we want to praise someone, it is usually very brief. It is much harder to praise someone because it requires brevity. Very seldom do you hear anyone praising anyone else at length, unless he’s dead, of course.

THERE ARE ONLY TWO THINGS  FOR WHICH THERE IS NO SOLUTION:  foolishness and death!

We Americans have the right to bear arms.  I am 100% for this constitutional right.

In regard to the right to own an assault rifle, I have a question for the President of the NRA:  Do we need to have such a weapon?  When do you believe that you will use it?  For what?  Against who?  Or will you just have it hanging on the mantel for ornamental purposes?

Most people like to talk about other people.  It does not make any difference who they are talking about: their relatives including mother, father, sons and daughters, coworkers, people they like and dislike, people in the limelight, ad nauseum!

But the reason why? It is very simple – it is easy to talk, you don’t have to think about it.  It comes out naturally.

It seems to me that people who talk about ideas are more open minded.

People who talk about things are similar to those that talk about other people!  No brains.

If you are an employee and you are very good at what you do, your employer will want more from you.  It is human nature to take advantage of people who are good at things. So watch it!  Unless you work for yourself, do not excel.

Most people believe that acquiring material things will make them happy.  In reality, acquiring material things is an illusion.  Happiness is only given to a person by another, not by material things.  The false happiness created by material things wears off.  The acquisition of material things to bring happiness is a fallacy.  Moreoever, buying unnecessary material things is a waste of money.
