Everyone has a conscience. According to many philosophers, theologians and many other people the conscience is a inner voice that we all have to distinguish what is right from wrong. If we do something wrong our conscience makes us feel remorse and we should be contrite about doing the wrong deed.
I believe that a person’s conscience is nothing but what you were taught (right from wrong) when you were very young and stays with you the rest of your life. I don’t think your conscience is a little part inside your body that is not related to your brain. Everything we do or say is being processed to your brain, which is the master of every part of your life good or bad.
Should we believe that an alcoholic or an addict uses his or her conscience to do what they do? I don’t think so!
